Each day we log on at 5pm ET from wherever we are and chat for a couple of minutes. Then I guide the group in a 35 minute meditation using secular language. You’re in your own home, so the pressure is off. You can keep your camera off, although, over time we tend to keep our cameras on to find more connection–and a good laugh when one of us falls asleep and starts snoring.

I am a regular person ... a fellow chicken ... one of you. I am not a guru or an elite person. I am a fellow traveler with interesting questions, experiences and habits, and with pain, hurts, and problems, too. I simply serve as a guide to the bridge between daily life and higher energy.

When you bring meditation into your home, it brings out the goofball in each of us.

The group has landed my meditation in my living room, the same place where I ask my kids about their homework, fall asleep reading books on the couch, and eat ice cream out of the container late at night with my daughter. For the rest of the group, too, it starts in the middle of our chaotic lives. No one puts on a Zen face, and relaxation and laughter follow from that.
